Advanced Reading, Writing, and Speaking:  English Fluency Classes for Career-Minded Iraqis

Are you ready to make the next step in pursuing your career and education goals in America? Do you need to take a reading test, TOEFL exam, or learn how to write a professional email message? The Iraqi Mutual Aid Society is holding free eight-week classes for Iraqi refugees to develop English fluency for intermediate and advanced English speakers in order to help them pursue their professional and educational goals.

 
Schedule
  • Reading and vocabulary classes Monday and Wednesday 2:00PM-4:00PM
  • Writing and speaking classes Tuesday and Thursday 5:30-7:30
  • Class sessions last eight weeks
Requirements
  •  Intermediate English speaking (a minimum of ESL level four at Chicago City Colleges)
  • Iraqi refugee or asylee
  • English will be assessed prior to enrollment by Iraqi Mutual Aid Society staff
